ANDERSONVILLE PRISON, 1864. Bird's-eye view of Andersonville Prison, Georgia, where Union soldiers were held during the American Civil War. Drawn by Thomas O'Dea, as it appeared on 1 August 1864, when it held 35,000 prisoners of war.
