INDUSTRY OIL PIPELINE. Oil pipeline being laid - the largest at the time - between Texas and the Atlantic coast, in order to supply fuel to Allied units during World War II. The pipeline is 24 inches in diameter and coated in asphalt paint. Photograph, c1944.
